Silay - Pool Freediving Basics is an introductory freediving program designed to provide basic knowledge for pool freediving disciplines - Static (STA), Dynamic Disciplines (DYNB), and Dynamic No Fins (DNF).

 

The program aims to mainly focus on developing the confidence of individuals, with little to swimming background, in holding their breath for a longer period and navigating underwater to distance on a single breath in a more controlled environment.

 

The program will cover basic topics of breath holding, pool freediving basics, benefits of pool freediving to depth, and safety guidelines to ensure participants gain the confidence they need for advanced pool freediving training and depth freediving disciplines.

Stationary breathhold of at least 30 seconds

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

- Swimmer and Non-Swimmer water comfortability drills
- Basic understanding of buoyancy, breathing & body adaptations
- Basic knowledge about Pool Freediving Disciplines
- Basic Relaxation Techniques - Body Scanning and Belly Breathing
- Comfortable unassisted surface finning
- Comfortable water entry and exit for STA, DYNB, and DNF
- Pool Buoyancy checking
- 30-second static breath-holding and 25m DYNB
- Buddying, safety guidelines, and basic freediving incident responses
- Basic gear management

​Please note that basic gears such as masks, snorkels, and fins will temporarily be unavailable for clients taking this program. Clients booking this program are required to bring their equipment.

HOW TO ENROLL FOR THE CLASS?​

  1.  Request for a quotation via online form.

  2.  The quotation will be sent by freedivewithjuandive@gmail.com to the provided email address in the submitted quotation request.

  3. Once okay, pay for the reservation fee required to secure a slot.

  4. Send a copy of your payment transaction via Juan Dive's Messenger.

  5. The slot/s is/are already confirmed payment and Juan Dive will undergo payment verification within 48 hours.

  6. Once payment has been verified, the invoice and payment receipt will be sent by freedivewithjuandive@gmail.com to the provided email address.

Note: Juan Dive encourages clients to secure a slot by reserving at least one (1) day before the enrollees' preferred schedule. Juan Dive may accommodate walk-in clients but does not guarantee that clients may be accommodated.
